![]() And there’s a lovely accordion soundtrack that accompanies Ted’s sorrowful relief-seeking and puzzle platforming, resulting in a polished package that doesn’t feel as dated as it actually is. The levels require both thoughtful movement of boxes, elevators, and other devices across the screen jumps as well as quick actions to beat the timer. (Poor Ted has a chronic migraine, although we don’t recommend giving human medicine to headachy cats.) The entire screen wraps around, so if you walk left off-screen Ted will reappear on the right, or if you fall into a pit Ted will drop down from the top of the screen. The controls are extremely simple-tilt to move Ted and tap to jump-with your only goal to reach the painkiller stationed somewhere in the level. ![]() Trauma Ted is a blast from the past, yet it still plays well on modern devices and holds its own against more recent puzzle platformers. All of the titles included on the list were tested and ran fine on iOS 10, so don’t let their age give you paws-just consider them ranked from adult cat to baby kitten. Instead of ranking the games in order of preference-it’s hard to compare idle clickers to Mario-esque platformers to tower defense builders-we’ve listed them by their last update on the App Store. Whether you’ve played every cat game you could get your hands on and are looking for just one more, or you’re allergic to cats and have to get your furry fix from the digital world, or secretly hate cats and think playing games starring them will help you better understand and undermine their motivations, this list probably has something for you. The result: we’ve played a lot of titles featuring felines over the years and now have a list of favorites to share with you, dear readers. Put a cute cat (or even just an inky blob of a catlike thing) on or near a game, and we’re sure to at least try it. Tac Nayn: Classic, but you play as Tac Nayn.If there’s a gaming equivalent of “crazy cat lady,” we here at Gamezebo are probably it. The abilities of the characters have no effect. Zen: Classic, but without bombs, without Tac Nayn, and other obstacles (you can still fall though). The batteries, if you get enough, resets the bomb timer and brings you to another universe (hence the name universe) which is a different background. Universe: Classic, but with an explosion timer and batteries. There are different modes: Classic, Universe, Zen, Nyan Wings, and Tac Nayn. Different characters have different powers. There are different kinds of platforms to step on normal, slippery, and dissapearing which are made in various sizes on different heights to try and make you fall off and lose. ![]() Other powerups such as cracknyan (increases speed) or gems which have various effects are found very rarely. There also powerups such as supernyan, bubbles, and, rocketnyan which allow different kinds of flight. Your score multiplier is increased everytime you collect milk and there appears to be no limit to how large of a score multiplier you can get. It is a platformer game where you have to collect milk, cookies, and other foods while avoiding dogs, UFOs, and Tac Nayn or else you will lose your score multiplier.
